Liquor lockers: New Shoreditch bar to let patrons store their tipple collections at the venue
Drinkers with a more distinguished palate will soon be able to store their favourite liquors at a new three-storey venue opening at the end of February.
Alastair Tatton and Stephen Thompson’s TT Liquor will include a ground floor liquor store, subterranean cocktail bar and space on its upper floors for cocktail making classes and other events.
Located on Kingsland Road, the bar will also boast padlocked deposit boxes which guests can hire to store their private liquor collections behind the bar, or a bottle from over 1,000 that will be stocked in its street-side store.
The building itself will draw on its history as a former police station in the 19th Century, with jail cells acting as alcoves housing 10 to 15 guests at any one time and the potential to host cocktail classes and tasting events for small groups.
The bar is another hospitality concept thought up by Tatton and Thompson, following on from their Discount Suit Company and Sun Tavern bars, which they operate under the Umbrella Project banner with their business partner Andy Kerr.
