Haines Watts Liverpool welcomes second four-legged friend

Haines Watts accountants in Liverpool are set to welcome a second furry friend to their team, after raising £1,400 in 2016, for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Two years ago, the team successfully sponsored their first puppy whom they named ‘Watts’ following a very successful first two years of fundraising for the Charity. After a further two years of dedicated and committed fundraising, they are now sponsoring and naming their next puppy.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association provides independence and freedom to thousands of blind and partially sighted people across the UK through the provision of guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services.

Associate Director of Haines Watts Liverpool office, Vikki Wynne said: “This was the fourth consecutive year that we had collected for the charity in fun imaginative ways and we are delighted to have reached our fundraising target.

“After much debate amongst the office, we decided to call him ‘Cyril’, after our founder. We look forward to Cyril’s visits in the future, to watch him develop from a puppy into an invaluable guide dog!”

Engagement Officer at Guide Dogs, Penny Williams added: “It was great fun working with the fantastic team at Haines Watts over the last few years. By raising £4,500, they have enough money to name a second guide dog puppy, one which will go on to change the life of a visually impaired person. We are really grateful to the team for all of their hard work.”
