Greenlight for 42,000 sq ft trade development near Stockport
NJL Consulting has secured planning consent for a 42,000 sq ft trade counter scheme on derelict land south of Stockport.
Working on behalf of property investor and developer Realty Estates, NJL Consulting secured the greenlight for 12 flexible trade counter units of between 1,500 sq ft and 7,500 sq ft on Stanley Green Trading Estate.
With construction of the development due to get underway soon, the site could open by early 2018.
Realty Estates’ Shahram Sakhdari said: “We are pleased to have secured planning consent.
“The timing is right for development, particularly high quality industrial and commercial units with a large trade counter allowance.”
Shahram added: “We’ve had strong interest in a number of the units and are about to start formal marketing of the site.”
NJL Consulting’s Nick Pleasant commented: “Working closely with Stockport Council we have been able to secure planning permission for this new commercial space.
“We look forward to seeing the development come forward.”
He continued: “Redeveloping this vacant site will have a positive effect both at the Trading Estate and in the wider area, delivering high quality development and new employment opportunities.”
The scheme, which is designed by architecture firm RGP, will be marketed by Wilmslow-based Petch & Co.
