North East housebuilder raises over £19,000 for charities
Local housebuilder, Barratt Homes North East, has announced its charity fundraising total for 2016 for its two chosen charities: Marie Curie North East and Tiny Lives. The housebuilder raised over £19,000 through a range of fundraising activities, with funds being split between the two charities to support their work throughout Newcastle and the North East.
The funds will be donated to Marie Curie North East, which provides support for people living with a terminal illness, as well as Tiny Lives, a charity that supports premature and sick newborn babies and their families on the Neonatal Unit at the RVI Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North East, commented:
“Both of these charities do great work in the area and we are proud to show our support to such worthy causes. We’re overwhelmed with the amount that has been raised and would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff, family, friends and community members who have helped us beat this year’s target. We know that these funds will go a long way in supporting the amazing work that these charities are doing in our region.”
Barratt Homes North East is currently building at a range of developments across the region, including its Burton Woods development in Durham and City Edge in Newcastle.
