Turnover passes £9m at Bolton-based boutique construction firm Artez Group
Boutique construction company Artez Group has announced a record seven-figure turnover.
The Bolton-based company pulled in more than £9m in 2016, a 40% increase against the previous year’s £6.3m figure.
As a result of the growth Artez has taken on five new members of staff, bringing its workforce to 27.
Peter Hopley has joined the firm in the role of group commercial director, while Mike Pickles is Artez’ new commercial manager.
Elsewhere, the company appointed Steve Porter as site manager, Juan Dominguez as quantity surveyor and Emma Hadfield as finance assistant.
Mike Banton, managing director of Artez Group, said: “2016 has been an incredible year for us. We’ve been involved in some truly iconic developments including Stubbs Mill in Manchester and The Dock 9 project at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays, the latter of which we’re currently transforming into a stylish avant-garde restaurant and bar, The Alchemist.
“These projects, along with many others, have resulted in an increase in demand for our expertise and, as a result, our turnover and recruitment plans are very healthy indeed.”
He continued: “As we’ve grown, ensuring we have the right team in place has become more challenging. We’re all very passionate about what we do and have exceptionally high standards. The newest team members share our enthusiasm for great design and high-quality developments, so we’re in a great position to embrace some fantastic projects, including our most recent win, Berkeley House, Wilmslow for Eventus Properties, throughout 2017.”
Speaking further, Mike said that Artez is now expecting 2017 to be another record year, with £7m worth of contracts already in the pipeline.
