Land Securities development is first West End to be recognised for 'best-in-class' digital connectivity
62 Buckingham Gate in Westminster has become the first building in London’s West End to receive a Wired Certified Platinum, joining an illustrious list of buildings to be recognised for its digital connectivity and infrastructure.
The Land Securities development, which opened in 2013, currently houses FinTech company WorldRemit, along with Italian investment bank Mediobanca and IT services firm Ciber UK.
It becomes the latest London building to be recognised for the standards of its digital connectivity by the organisation WiredScore, sitting amongst the likes of The Shard and The Leadenhall Building which also received its top rating.
Neil Pennell, Head of Engineering and Design at Land Securities, said: “We know how important great connectivity is to our customers, which is why we invest in building resilience into our developments as a priority.
“At 62 Buckingham Gate, and throughout our Victoria portfolio, we’ve gone the extra mile in infrastructure provision, design and engineering innovation to offer our customers not just peace of mind, but competitive edge.”
William Newton, EMEA Director at WiredScore, said: “With 62 Buckingham Gate, Land Securities is setting a new standard for connectivity in West End offices.
“The expertise and experience in the team is vast; we’ve consistently watched them go above and beyond to overcome connectivity challenges for the benefit of their clients.”
