Leeds entrepreneurs behind entertainment app looking to shake up pub gaming
The entrepreneurial trio behind the recently launched Kwizzbit app have been attracting interest from hundreds of pubs and UK giants in its efforts to bring the trusty British pub into the digital age.
Developed by Mark Walsh, Steve Saul and John Sheard, the app aims to combine the traditional pub quiz format with modern interactive digital entertainment innovations through its cloud-based quiz platform which punters are able to access on their smartphones.
Despite only launching last year, the app has attracted interest from ‘hundreds’ of pubs who are interested in trialling the technology, while its potential as a learning and development tool has already interested the likes of RBS, KPMG and Sky, who have already worked with the business.
The initiative marks the coming together of three quiz and entertainment entrepreneurs, with Walsh, Sheard and Saul having a combined 30 years’ experience in the industry.
Kwizzbit’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Walsh, has already founded and grown businesses including Rock n Roll Bingo and Rocket Horse Ltd, and is eyeing moves into several other markets in addition to the pub sector.
Following the startup’s early success, Walsh commented: ’’Having industry specialists, John and Steve, on the team has allowed us to create the software in just months.
“Working alongside our external development team we’re now at an exciting stage in the business where we’re ready to take not only the pub quiz market by storm, but several others too. Watch this space!”
