New Leeds city centre office for SpaceInvader set to create up to 30 new jobs
Interior design business, SpaceInvader, is to make the leap across the Pennines after announcing it will open a new Leeds office this April.
The Manchester-headquartered company, which also has an office in London, has agreed to take 4,000 sq ft at an as yet unnamed property on the south side of the city as it hopes to build on its existing client relationships in the area.
John Williams, Director of SpaceInvader, commented: “We’re very proud to be opening a substantial base in Leeds. As the amount of business we’ve won in the city has grown, it’s become increasingly important for us to create a home for ourselves.
“The closer proximity to our ongoing and future projects will allow us to ensure that we provide the best possible service for our clients.”
The move comes after the business completed several large projects in Leeds, including the fit-out of SkyBet’s new offices in Wellington Place, and is also working with Zenith at Kirkstall Forge.
Its new base in the city is also set to unlock further expansion of SpaceInvader’s team, with up to 30 new jobs set to be created once the firm fully settles into its new Yorkshire home.
Williams added: “Becoming part of the Southerns Group has allowed us to considerably accelerate the move and shows the strength of support for SpaceInvader.
“4,000 square feet is a very large space so we will be looking to build the team substantially over the next couple of years and there may be a few other surprises in the space too. Leeds is quite clearly a city on the rise and we’re delighted to be moving in.”
