Land acquired for new retirement development in Macclesfield
Local developer, Adlington, has acquired land on Buxton Road in Macclesfield, where it is set to build a new £11m luxury retirement development. The site, which will consist of one, two and three bedroom apartments specifically for the over 60s, will be delivered across 1.7 acres of land in a picturesque setting, overlooking the canal.
The new site will offer superbly-appointed apartments with tailored 24-hour on site care and support for homeowners, should it ever be needed. The design of each Adlington apartment is carefully considered with safety and security in mind, and an exceptional quality of materials and finishes is delivered throughout. Homeowners will enjoy generous living and dining spaces, fully-fitted, quality kitchens and a balcony or patio to their apartment, as well as use of a spa suite offering a variety of relaxing treatments. There will be a table-service restaurant offering a tempting deli menu, breakfasts and a three-course lunch daily, a hairdressing salon, sociable lounge area, as well as an activities and crafts room for everything from gentle exercise to art classes.
Claire Reede, Sales and Marketing Manager from Adlington, says: “We are really excited to be bringing Adlington to Macclesfield and are looking forward to seeing the site develop in a truly picturesque location. Adlington has proven very popular so far across the North, with homeowners enjoying a new lease of life, able to enjoy their independence whilst also having care options if necessary. The 24-hour on-site care and support, provided by our partner MHA (Methodist Homes), has been a popular feature on our other developments. The trusted charity organisation has been providing care and support for more than 70 years across the UK and will be on hand to support any residents if and when they might need a little extra help.”
Adlington and MHA provide a way of living that recognises individualism and self-reliance, with the reassurance of being able to choose a level of care, whenever it may be needed, assuring homeowners and their families peace of mind now and for the future.
