ExpoTalent and DigitalCity collaboration to showcase North East digital talent next month
Middlesbrough will host its annual ExpoTalent event next month, one of the region’s biggest showcases of digital talent.
Hundreds of industry professionals and Teesside University students are set to attend, where work from the School of Computing - alongside digital agency exhibitions - will be on display thanks to ExpoTalent working with DigitalCity.
Siobhan Fenton, The School of Computing’s Associate Dean (Enterprise and Business Engagement), said: “ExpoTalent has a fantastic track record of helping businesses recruit the talent that they need.
“This year, we’re delighted to be working alongside DigitalCity. There’s a natural synergy between ExpoTalent and Get Digital and bringing together the two events will provide even more opportunities for businesses to learn about the multiple opportunities for collaboration with the University.”
DigitalCity is an initiative based at Teesside University which works with North-East companies to advise on digital solutions, stimulate digital innovations and secure investment into digital products.
DigitalCity director Rob Earnshaw organised Get Digital 2016 in Newcastle and is confident that this year’s event will be just as successful.
He said: “This year’s ExpoTalent will be absolutely fantastic. We will be bringing together some of the most talented students with dozens of different companies, from SMEs to multi-nationals.
“We’re hoping that it will be a fantastic opportunity for businesses not just to recruit, but also to seek out new business prospects and also learn about the latest trends and innovations in the digital world.”
