Somerset businesses invited to debt recovery seminar
A debt recovery seminar is being held in Taunton to help Somerset businesses improve cash flow and minimise debts.
The event, organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and law firm Clarke Willmott LLP, is being aimed at finance directors, financial controllers, credit controllers and others working in the finance or credit control functions of commercial businesses.
The two-hour seminar, to be held at Clarke Willmott’s Taunton office on Thursday 23 March, will cover credit control and debt recovery processes with a specific focus on simple steps to protect businesses from bad debts and practical tips to make credit control more efficient and effective.
Experts will also explain how the debt recovery process works and legal options available, as well as the impact of upcoming legal changes on credit control processes and actions businesses should take.
Speaking at the seminar will be Karen Chapman a chartered legal executive and an associate at Clarke Willmott and Phil Roberts a chartered legal executive and senior associate at Clarke Willmott.
Phil Roberts, who has 18 years’ experience in the debt recovery industry, said: “This event will be great for businesses which may be experiencing late bill payers and want to save time on chasing payments.
“We will be giving advice on how to improve cash flow and the options available when a need for debt recovery arises. As well as the seminar, there will also be a chance for guests to network and enjoy lunch.”
