Autodealer B+H Motors acquires new Workington base with bank funding

Autodealer B+H Motors has moved to new premises in Workington, Cumbria, and created jobs with funding support from Clydesdale Bank.

The SEAT dealership relocated from a rented site in nearby Whitehaven to a base three times larger in Lillyhall.

The new dealership comprises a showroom, vehicle workshop equipped with modern motor vehicle diagnostic equipment, MOT-testing and tyre-fitting facilities and an expanded display area for 200% more pre-owned vehicles.

As a result of the move, B+H Motors has taken on four new members of staff and is on track for increased revenues and profits.

Director Geoff Moore said: “We have been in business for fifty years and banked with Clydesdale for almost the entire period.

“It is incredibly exciting to see the business expanding, but we have the same family values as before.”

He added: “We have had one bank almost since the very beginning and we value this long-standing relationship and the support Simon and his team provide.”

Clydesdale Bank commercial manager Simon Campbell commented: “We are delighted to be supporting B+H Motors in the next stage of their growth, as they move to their new premises.

“The management team have shown great ambition in expanding the business and we look forward to working with them as they continue to grow.”
