London small firms dominate The Sunday Times Best Small Companies 2017 top 10
Six businesses from the capital have been featured in the top 10 for this year’s The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For rankings, including four who are featuring for the first time.
Holborn’s carwow, recruitment firms LHi Group and JCW, as well as office design company ThirdWay Interiors have all been recognised for the first time, following extensive interviews with 270,429 employees across the UK.
Topping the illustrious list, which ranks participating SMEs based on employee satisfaction, was Soho-headquartered Talon Outdoor, the independent out-of-home advertising which bettered its tenth place ranking from last year.
Rounding off the London representatives in the Times top 10 was Assael Architecture, the architecture practice which has designed the conversion of the Royal Academy of Dance’s current headquarters ahead of their move into new premises in 2020.
James Hind, Co-Founder of carwow, commented: “To debut at number 9 on the list of the top 100 best small companies to work for is a great achievement for us here at carwow.
“One of the best things about working at a start-up is that everyone is involved in making the company a success; therefore, employing happy and motivated staff is vital for our growth and progression.”
