Family friendly restaurant chain twinned with children's hospice

Family-friendly restaurant chain, Frankie & Benny’s have chosen Together for Short Lives, the national charity for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, to be their charity partner for the next year.

Each Frankie & Benny’s restaurant will be directly fundraising for their local children’s hospice and Francis House Children’s Hospice in Greater Manchester, has been twinned with Frankie & Benny’s in Didsbury and twelve other restaurants across the north west.

Money raised by staff will help Francis House to continue to provide families facing some of the hardest challenges, with the vital care and support they need.

Francis House fundraising manager Peter Forster, said: “We have been generously supported in the past by the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant at Parrs Wood entertainment centre. Situated right on our doorstep, they have donated pizzas and discounted meals to the families receiving respite care at the hospice. We are very pleased to once again be benefiting from their support with this new fundraising partnership with Together for Short Lives.”

Spencer Ayres, Managing Director at Frankie and Benny’s said: “Frankie and Benny’s has a strong tradition of supporting charities over the years and we are delighted to be joining forces with Together for Short Lives. To begin a partnership with a charity that touches so many lives is one that I’m extremely proud of and is a cause the whole team at Frankie’s will be behind. We can’t wait to see the efforts of our team and the generosity of our guests improving lives during the most challenging of times.”

Francis House Children’s Hospice provides respite care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and the necessary support and short-term rest for their families. All services are given completely free and the major part of the hospice’s funding is from donations. This year it will cost £4.2 million to operate the service, with 83p of every pound donated spent directly on the care of children and young people.
