TRIB3 appoints new European Managing Director
NATIONALLY acclaimed Sheffield boutique gym TRIB3 has appointed Rod Hill as its European Managing Director.
The appointment comes as TRIB3 - which launched in Sheffield just 12 months ago - prepares to expand into both Russia and Spain, with other European centres also in the pipeline.
The TRIB3 team have confirmed that advanced talks are set to take the brand to the Russian cities of St Petersburg and Moscow and an agreement has also been completed to take TRIB3 into Barcelona and Madrid in Spain within the second quarter of 2017.
A European-focused fitness industry veteran with almost 30 years experience of international fitness markets, Rod began his fitness career as a trainer at Fitness Firsts First gym in 1992 and went on to help develop the chain from one gym to over 450 in 20 countries.
During this era of expansion Rod was responsible for developing many European countries and moved to Barcelona where he lives with his wife and three children.
In recent years he has worked with other major global operators and was responsible for setting up Anytime Fitness in Spain, the largest global fitness franchise with more than 3,500 clubs worldwide.
Rod was responsible for developing the chain to 30 clubs throughout Spain in the last three years.
“TRIB3 has proved to be a phenomenal success since our launch at the beginning of 2016 and it is a success that simply seems to keep on growing,” said TRIB3 CEO Kevin Yates.
“With more than 15 franchisees already signed up to take a TRIB3 store, our main goal is to secure the European market and with Rod Hill and his international experience behind us, we are well placed as a business to deliver our operating goal.
“Rod will join the business as European Managing Director and will join the main international board of TRIB3.”
