Adlington raises money for Great Daffodil Appeal
Adlington, a local developer of luxury retirement communities, has shown its support for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal by donating £500 to the charity, which will be used to help nurses provide care and support for terminally ill people. Adlington will continue collecting funds for Marie Curie throughout March at its new Urmston development on Moorside Road and is planting daffodils at the site to help raise awareness of the charity and its work.
The donation follows Adlington’s recent Urmston Information Day, held at Davyhulme Golf Club last week, which invited downsizers and their families to meet with the team and learn more about the apartments available. Strong attendance saw high expressions of interest, with potential buy-ers able to explore the layouts of the 55 generous apartments and understand how Adlington’s services offer truly independent living for the over 60s.
Claire Reede, Sales and Marketing Manager at Adlington, commented: “We’re really proud to be supporting Marie Curie and The Great Daffodil Appeal this year through our Urmston development, as the charity does excellent work and supports millions of people and their families throughout difficult times. We’re encouraging the local community to help us continue fundraising this March by visiting our Urmston Marketing Suite and we’re willing the daffodils we’re planting to brave the cold weather!”
Work began on Adlington’s £11 million Urmston site earlier in the year and the development will offer an independent lifestyle with optional 24-hour care and support available if required, in a safe and secure environment designed specifically for later living. Homeowners will be able to enjoy generous living and dining spaces and fully-fitted modern kitchens and balconies or patios, as well as use of a spa room, a table-service restaurant offering breakfast and a three-course lunch daily, a hairdressing salon, lounge and activities and crafts room.
Adlington’s Marketing Suite at Urmston will open on 7th March, from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am to 5pm. For further information on retirement living at Adlington in Urmston, please visit www.adlington.co.uk or call 0161 747 8256.
