WW Smart Kitchen uses a buy-to-order approach to keep stock fresh

Manchester’s Bearfaced Groceries collaborates with Weight Watchers to revolutionise healthy eating

Online retailer Bearfaced Groceries has embarked on a new collaboration with national weight management brand Weight Watchers.

Manchester-based Fresh Grocery Direct, which owns Bearfaced Groceries, teamed up with Weight Watchers to launch WW Smart Kitchen – a meal plan concept delivering fresh food and locally sourced produce to customers’ doors.

WW Smart Kitchen uses a buy-to-order approach and insulated recipe boxes to keep stock fresh.

Managing director Phil Edge said: “This is an exciting proof of concept for Bearfaced and we are delighted to be teaming up with one of the biggest brand names in weight management to launch this offering.

“By combining our resources with Weight Watchers, together we will deliver a whole new approach to healthy eating.”

He continued: “We are the first to bring a brand into this exciting marketplace and with our unique turnkey solution, website build, sourcing and delivery, we expect this to be the first project of many with brands who would like to make a fresh food offering directly to their customers and fans.

“We anticipate an extremely positive nationwide response and a continuation of the strong growth of the business.”
