Expanding Catering Team Is A Recipe For Success

WEST Yorkshire based Czajka Care Group is expanding its catering division after promoting Hazel Betts and Stuart Bailey to deputy catering supervisors, and the company is now looking to add two more experienced chefs to its 22 strong catering team.

Both Hazel and Stuart joined the firm in the last 12 months as mobile chefs working across the company’s Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home, which are all in Nab Wood near Shipley, as well as Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills. The company also operates The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park, which is a members’ only club with a wide range of leisure facilities and a renowned restaurant.

In their new roles, Hazel and Stuart will now support Czajka Care Group’s management team overseeing the day to day running of company’s six kitchens as well as assisting with menu development and the sourcing of ingredients.

Czajka Care Group’s area catering supervisor, Gerard Raedcher says: “Every day we serve hundreds of meals across our kitchens and pride ourselves on serving freshly cooked food with a focus on nutritional and seasonal ingredients that utilise local suppliers wherever possible. We also cater for vegetarians, vegans, diabetics and religious diets, as well as regularly sounding out residents about their preferences and updating our menus seasonally.

“Because mealtimes are such an integral part of the overall service that we provide, our catering provision has evolved into a vast operation and the promotions of Hazel and Stuart will further enhance the service we provide as we continue growing our team. We’re now looking to appoint two more experienced chefs, who have a good track-record and relevant catering qualifications, to work across our kitchens. All our chefs normally finish work by 6pm at the latest, which is fairly unique in this industry, and we also offer a wide range of training so it’s a fantastic opportunity for the right person.”

Czajka Care Group currently holds five star Food Hygiene Rating Scheme Certificates across all five of its nursing and care homes, as well as The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park.
