Housebuilder celebrates World Book Day with storytelling
Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, invited children from Cullingworth Primary School to its nearby Hewenden Ridge development in Bradford for an afternoon of storytelling to celebrate World Book Day.
Eden Ballantyne, a professional storyteller from Stories Alive, gathered children from Year 4 in the showhome at the development to share a pirate story, encouraging them to get involved and interact, all to celebrate World Book Day.
Dan Hardcastle, Sales Manager at Hewenden Ridge, said: “It was great to have the children from Cullingworth Primary School join us for an afternoon of storytelling. We always want to invest into the areas we build in, so it is important for us to get involved with local schools as an extension of the community.”
Mr Singh, Year 4 teacher at Cullingworth Primary School commented: “I am always keen on excursions that allow the children to spend some time outside school, and they were very excited to be going to Hewenden Ridge. Eden’s pirate tale was fantastic, and it was great to see the class get so involved – it’s definitely something we’d like to do again!”
Hewenden Ridge offers three and four bedroom houses situated in the village of Cullingworth, Bradford. These homes offer an idyllic and peaceful lifestyle, but with strong commuter links across Yorkshire and beyond. Homes are available from £189,995.
