Newcastle Building Society invests in new Darlington premises
Newcastle Building Society has announced it will open a new Darlington branch in May later this year.
The Society’s existing Darlington branch, on Skinnergate, will remain open until the new branch n Horsemarket is ready.
The five-strong branch team, led by manager Gemma Manson, will move across to the new 1,300 sq ft location upon completion of the ten week build programme.
The Society’s latest investment in Darlington follows major enhancements at a number of other locations across the North East in the last year.
Two new Financial Advice Centre branches in Newcastle city centre and a new signature branch in Gateshead Trinity Square development opened during 2016, while last October, a strategic partnership with Stockton Borough Council enabled the Society to open a new branch at the heart of the community within the redeveloped Yarm library facility.
Damian Thompson, customer director at Newcastle Building Society, commented: “We’ve secured an excellent, highly visible location in Darlington town centre that fits perfectly with both our forward-thinking approach to customer service and the high quality businesses who will be our neighbours on Horsemarket.”
