First Opportunity To View York’s Latest Student Scheme
THE MARKETING suite and show apartment are now open at York city centre’s latest purpose built student accommodation scheme, which offers a genuine insight into the quality and specification on offer at the state of the art development.
The Lawrence Street development is within walking distance of both the city’s universities, and is being developed by York based S Harrison, which is transforming a former Grade II listed Working Men’s Club and The Tam O’ Shanter public house into a premium scheme for 115 students.
The development will offer a mix of studios and flats with one, two, three and five bedrooms that benefit from shared kitchens and living rooms. There will also be a superb range of communal study areas and leisure facilities including a gym, cinema and common room. When work completes this summer, the development will be managed by Empiric Student Property through its Hello Student platform.
Steve McManaman from S Harrison, says: “There’s no doubt this development will quickly become one of the city’s most sought after student addresses. It will offer extremely modern living accommodation within a historic building that retains its original character, and the result will be a superb range of studios and apartments that are close to both York city centre and its universities.
“This development is already generating strong levels of interest from the city’s student population who are looking for a high quality home, complete with superb communal and leisure facilities. As a result we’re already taking reservations for the start of the 2017/18 academic year in September and launching this three bedroom show apartment will enable students to get a real feel for the standard of accommodation on offer.”
Prices at the development start from £147 per week including high speed WiFi and all utility bills. The show apartment and marketing suite are available to view by appointment. Anyone wanting further information should call 0844 310 5713.
S Harrison has a wealth of experience delivering student accommodation schemes after successfully completing three other developments in York in recent years, totalling 762 beds. The company is now preparing to start work on a 106 bedroom scheme in York’s Walmgate area and has also recently completed work on a 240 bed student development in Edinburgh and a 63 bed scheme in Newcastle.
