North East solicitors nominated for major awards
A COUNTY DURHAM law firm is celebrating after being nominated in a range of categories in a prestigious awards ceremony.
EMG Solicitors, based at Abbeywoods Business Park is in the running for three awards in this year’s Northern Law Awards, which honours the region’s top legal people.
Director Jemma Morland has been nominated in the Rising Star category, while the firm’s private client team has been shortlisted in the Team of the Year – Private Clients.
And the company as a whole has also been put forward for The Law Firm of the Year – 1 – 5 partners, one of the event’s leading awards.
It is further evidence of the continued growth of the practice, which was set up by Court of Protection expert, Emma Gaudern, in 2014.
Since that time the firm has expanded and now has 17 staff, working across a range of areas including conveyancing and family law, along with being recognised nationally for its Court of Protection expertise.
“It’s very gratifying for the company as a whole along with individual members of the team to be recognised and nominated in these important awards,” said Emma.
“It’s further acknowledgement that EMG Solicitors is really making its mark and that we are definitely on the right path.”
This year marks the third Northern Law Awards, with the winners being announced at a dinner in Newcastle in June.
