Sovini staff jump to help Sefton charities
Generous Sovini staff helped raise £1,000 for local causes in Sefton in the lead up to Christmas.
Sefton4Good, which provides support to voluntary and community activities in the borough, were presented with the money by Roy Williams, Chief Executive Officer from The Sovini Group.
The funds were raised by staff from the Christmas jumper day and festive raffle.
Staff paid £1 to wear their novelty Christmas jumper, with The Sovini Group matching each donation.
The raffle provided staff with the opportunity to win a Christmas hamper worth over £500.
Money raised by Sovini staff will go into a central funding pot, with grants distributed to local organisations.
Last year fifteen local organisations benefited from a grant from Sefton4Good, including 1st Bootle and Litherland Girl Guides, Sefton Veterans Project and Ainsdale Community Care.
Nancy White, Development Worker at Sefton4Good, said: “This is an amazing donation for us. We’re so happy with the support from The Sovini Group. Last year we were inundated with requests from local organisations. Hopefully this year we can help even more.”
