JB Skills becomes Microsoft Certified Academy

JB Skills Training Ltd is delighted to announce that the company now holds the status of Microsoft Certified Academy.

The status ensures that any individuals or companies wanting to undertake apprenticeships are guaranteed the best possible quality IT apprenticeship course and qualification.

The certification also means that as well as the current ICT levels, which focus on creative, design, IT and social media, JB Skills Training will be delivering four Microsoft Technology Associate Certifications (MTA’s):

Software Development Fundamentals

Networking Fundamentals

Mobility and Device Fundamentals

Cloud Fundamentals

Microsoft Certification is the IT’s most respected validation of skills. It has been so for more than 20 years and the programs of learning are comprehensive, straightforward and help students acquire all important technology skills.

Kieron Hanlon, assessor and manager of the ICT department said:

“Worldwide, Microsoft holds 94 percent of the market share – it is imperative for learners on apprenticeships to be more than familiar with the programs and have skills in Microsoft Office whether they are looking to do more qualifications or start a career.

“We are delighted to be a Microsoft Certified Academy, not only does it give us great accolade, it means we can be confident that every course we deliver is of the best possible quality – that is always important to JB Skills.”

As well as becoming certified, JB Skills Training is also delighted to have been named as the Best Newcomer business in the North East Business Awards. Stiff opposition from other local companies was fought off to bring the award home from an event held at the Stadium of Light.
