New Sandbach base for aerospace parts manufacturer AVS-SYS
Aerospace composite design engineering company AVS-SYS Ltd has set up shop at a new facility in Cheshire.
The firm said new base, located in Sandbach, will offer staff a more efficient work area to allow for improved production flows and an increased manufacturing capacity.
The move from Alderley Park, MD Paul Heaton explained, is part of AVS-SYS’ ongoing growth plan.
He said: “[The Sandbach facility] enables us to accommodate the next stage of our growth and has allowed us to accelerate our recruitment plan with the addition of more composite layup technicians.”
AVS-SYS said there is room to expand the premises further, offering greater ongoing flexibility.
The firm engineers, designs, integrates and manufactures products and complete systems utilising composite materials for aerospace, covering a range of manned and unmanned commercial and military air vehicles.
AVS-SYS works to provide complete programme management over a project’s lifetime – from initial concept design and system integration to manufacturing, qualification and in-service support.
In July last year, the company secured a £500k investment from the UK Manufacturing Accelerator, an industrial funding and growth boutique based in nearby Hale.
