Velocity opens new Ninja Warrior obstacle course
Velocity Trampoline Park has unveiled its unique spin on TV’s toughest assault course, Ninja Warrior UK.
As part of the venue’s big reveal to the public, Jonny Urszuly who was named ‘Last Man Standing’ on series three of the hit ITV show, made a star appearance to officially open the Widnes-based site’s new adrenaline-pumping addition.
The purpose-build course, which is suitable for ‘contenders’ aged eight and above, features a varied range of challenging obstacles including climbing nets, high-ropes and chain ladders, which lead onto Warped Walls, a Total Wipeout course, a huge foam pit with a Jump Tower, Dodgeball courts and the main trampoline area
Managing Director of Velocity Trampoline Park Steven Cosgrove said: “As a TV show that has had the nation enthralled since its establishment in the UK in 2015, we want to offer a scoop of the action here in Widnes. What’s more, our obstacle course is suitable for everyone over the age of eight, meaning that children, teens and adults can unleash their inner warriors.
“What an honour it was to have Ninja Warrior UK’s very own ‘Last Man Standing’, Jonny Urszuly, officially open our highly-anticipated obstacle course. As a series three contestant, personal trainer, gymnast, actor and stunt man all rolled into one, it was great to see Jonny take on the challenge and show everyone how it’s done! While Jonny has certainly set the bar high, we hope this will encourage visitors to see if they’ve got what it takes to beat defeat.”
Exclusively housed at Velocity Trampoline Park Widnes, the fully integrated obstacle course requires balance, agility and coordination, together with the added element of competitiveness. The hour-long mission permits unlimited attempts at the course and includes use of the trampolines.
Jonny Urszuly said: “I was delighted to officially open Velocity Trampoline Park’s action-packed obstacle course to the public and I am certain that it will become a firm favourite across the region. Having trained as a gymnast from an early age, fitness is a huge part of my life, which is why I believe that venues such as Velocity are a great way of encouraging people to stay active while having fun.”
The Ninja Warrior inspired course is available at Velocity Trampoline Park Widnes and is priced at £9 per person.
