One scores with Beckham appointment
Integrated communications agency, One, has bolstered its PR team with the appointment of Katie Beckham as account director.
Beckham joins from a Lancashire agency, where she spent almost seven years representing a range of B2B and B2C clients.
Recipient of the Downtown Lancashire in Businesses Employee of the Year 2014 and Female Networker of the Year 2015 awards, she will work alongside the head of PR and Social, Alex Hamilton, to support the ten-strong PR and social team.
Speaking of the new role, Katie said: “I’ve worked in marketing for more than ten years and as the lines between PR, content and social continue to blur, the opportunity to work for an integrated agency really appealed to me.
“One has an impressive client roster and has delivered some extremely creative and impactful campaigns, so I’m really looking forward to complementing the existing team with the experience gained during my career to date.”
Wayne Silver, managing director at One, added: “Katie is a consummate PR professional and her background and experience are exactly what we were looking for both in length and variety.
“There’s been a stark increase in demand for our PR services, something we are aiming to further capitalise over the coming months and we’re all looking forward to seeing what 2017 has in store for our growing team.”
One is an integrated agency offering advertising, design, digital, PR and social services to a range of B2B and B2C clients, including Euler Hermes, Hoover, Taylor Wimpey, United Utilities and York Racecourse.
