Regency Residential reveals Trafford Plaza 174 apartments plan

Property consultancy and advisory firm Regency Residential has submitted plans to build a 15-storey building containing 174 high-spec new apartments in Old Trafford.

Regency’s Trafford Plaza scheme is a key development that will transform the area creating much needed high-quality residential accommodation.

In partnership with Intro Developments, Regency Residential plans to erect the 15-storey building in an existing car park on the site off Seymour Grove, which is surrounded by a variety of shops, food outlets, Seymour Park and Seymour Community Primary School.

Michael Fenlon, sales and marketing director for Regency, said the scheme will include 64 one-bedroom and 110 two-bedroom apartments.

He said: “This is the most exciting Regency Residential project to date. Trafford Plaza is located in a prime position within the Old Trafford area of Manchester and in close proximity to the football and cricket grounds. During the proposed time of development the area will be provided with 174 much needed quality homes while also boasting an underground car park.”

Regency Residential – which is directly involved in identifying, planning and developing all sites with their strategic partner Intro Developments – is financially backed by private Trusts and Funds, and as a result, does not require investors monies as capital for any of their projects, ensuring security.

Permitted development rights have already been granted to transform an adjacent nine-storey office building into 90 apartments. Regency Residential has sold the site to be developed.

Michael said: “Our offer is such a rarity, especially when compared with other companies in the investment market, as essentially our clients’ money is protected and not used to fund any of the build.

“We have a national and international focus and only require a minimum deposit reservation fee of £1,000, which is then taken off the 10% deposit on exchange of contracts.”

He added: “The development of Trafford Plaza will contribute to what is already a thriving area.”

“The project also forms part of Regency Residential’s property pipeline of 5,000 residential units which include and are not limited to conversions and new build projects, some of which are part of schemes that are in process of being sold to the public, are in planning or are due to go to planning.”
