Marketing agency becomes first letting at Helical’s 25 Charterhouse Square
Property developers Helical have announced the first major letting at their recently redeveloped Charterhouse Square scheme in Smithfield.
Global marketing agency, Anomaly, has agreed to let 12,195 sq ft at the the 25 Charterhouse Square building in the same week that the building’s major refurbishment work was completed.
The ad agency, which also has offices in LA, New York, Tornoto, Amsterdam and Shanghai, has signed on for the top two floors of the building, having secured a 10-year lease at an annual rent of £75 psf.
Helical’s first major letting for the building comes after it acquired the long leasehold for the building back in 2015, before embarking on refurb work that included the addition of a sixth floor and newly modelled lobby, ultimately providing 38,500 sq ft of office space along with 5,138 sq ft of retail and restaurant space.
Gerald Kaye, Chief Executive Officer of Helical, said: “The letting to Anomaly shows the strong demand for top quality space in this terrific EC1 location overlooking Charterhouse Square and adjacent to the Farringdon East Elizabeth line station.
“It also provides further evidence of Helical’s ability to understand what London’s leading companies want and deliver the right environment for businesses to thrive in.”
Carl Johnson, Founder and Global Chief Executive Officer of Anomaly, said: “For us, 25 Charterhouse Square is located within the heart of Smithfield, arguably one of London’s greatest historic former industrial districts, but more recently hosting some of the supreme companies on the world stage, so we like to think we will feel right at home here.”
Helical’s joint letting agents are Knight Frank and Ingleby Trice, whilst Anomaly was advised by Colliers International.
