TRIB3 Moscow launch set for summer
NATIONALLY acclaimed Sheffield based boutique gym TRIB3 will be opening its first site in Moscow this summer.
TRIB3 CEO Kevin Yates has confirmed that a license agreement to take the brand into the Russian capital has now been signed.
Before the end of the summer the Moscow site will be opened and as the brand prepares for its first Leeds opening, there are a further 35 live franchise requests active in other UK cities.
Meanwhile TRIB3’s new European Managing Director Rod Hill is in advanced talks with Spanish partners where the first sites are expected to be launched by the end of 2017 in Barcelona and Madrid.
TRIB3 are also in advanced talks to take the brand to France, Switzerland, Portugal and Ireland, with plans for more than 40 clubs further clubs in the UK, making it the fastest growing HIIT boutique chain in Europe.
“We are delighted that Russia has embraced the TRIB3 concept so enthusiastically,” said Kevin.
“Russia is a country that is thirsty for Western brands and culture and our recent visit to Moscow proved to us just how keen they were to press ahead with a TRIB3 launch as quickly as possible.
TRIB3’s partner in Russia is Alexei Drobot former MD of Johnson & Johnson, TUI and ‘World Class’ in Russia - their largest fitness brand - and adds to the depth of international experience across the TRIB3 board.
“We are very excited to be working there as it marks an exciting new chapter in our development and one that puts us firmly on the international stage, cementing our decision to take TRIB3 into new territories as quickly as possible,:” said Kevin.
“We believe the brand’s strength comes from its firm South Yorkshire roots, working alongside companies like Sheffield commercial interior design and fit-out specialist Ovo Spaces on rolling out the distinctive TRIB3 look both nationally and internationally.”
Co-founded by Kevin Yates, Dan Summerson and David Cross and partners - with interiors designed by David’s award winning team at Sheffield multi disciplinary architectural practice Coda Studios - TRIB3 introduced a fresh approach to group fitness programming when it launched its first site in Sheffield’s Ecclesall Road at the start of 2016.
The TRIB3 concept, based around highly intensive group workouts, proved so successful at its launch that it was immediately hailed as one of Britain’s best workouts by the influential Women’s Health magazine.
The High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) work-out is based around treadmills (cardio), resistance (weights) and intensity (heart rate) and sessions can burn up to 1000 calories meaning that members get results fast which can also be tracked through digital partner MyZone.
“In the challenging and ever changing workout market, HIIT gives unbeatable efficiency in calories burn per minute,” said Kevin.
“Its progressive engagement system motivates members to push themselves and grow while working out against personal goals monitored by MyZone system.
“The Bootcamp format of small groups in unique and highly energetic and engaging environment is proven to work at all levels of ability while the premium concept in terms of level of trainers, locations, equipment and luxury amenities is always accessible thanks to our to pay-per-visit system.”
There are currently three TRIB3 centres open at Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, the acclaimed Krynkl development in Sheffield’s Kelham Island and at The Source in Meadowhall, with a site in Leeds now in development.
