Healthy Growth For Redcar Vets

A Redcar veterinary practice is going from strength to strength after caring for more than 16,000 local pets and growing its team five-fold to more than 20, since opening in the town nearly eight years ago.

White Cross Vets, on West Dyke Road Retail Park, is now launching Sunday openings between 9am and 5pm from April, as a direct result of soaring demand for its services from pet owners in the area.

Family-run White Cross Vets operates 16 UK practices, including a local practice at The Parkway Centre in Coulby Newham. Tim Harrison, Managing Director, says: “Opening Sundays in Redcar is an exciting development that will make our services even more accessible to our clients. Crucially, it also means pets falling ill over the weekend can receive immediate treatment, rather than having to wait until Monday, or see an emergency vet, which will often charge a significant premium. In addition, we will be able to accommodate emergencies from our nearby Coulby Newham practice.”

White Cross Vets was recently named in The Sunday Times ‘Best 100 Small Companies To Work For’ league table for a record fifth year. It’s the only veterinary company to ever achieve a three star ‘extraordinary’ rating in the list’s history. Earlier this year White Cross Vets also scooped the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons’ inaugural Wellbeing Award in recognition of the initiatives it has introduced to ensure its team are happy, healthy and fulfilled in their work.
