Housebuilder celebrates National Gardening Week with school donation
Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, which has the St John’s Walk development in Hoylandswaine, Barnsley, is helping local schools celebrate National Gardening Week in April by donating gardening equipment and encouraging children to make the most of their school’s outdoor space. Katy Cushing, Sales Adviser at St John’s Walk, visited Hoylandswaine Primary School last week to gift five gardening kits to the school and meet the children.
National Gardening Week takes place between 10th – 16th April and aims to inspire people of all ages to get involved in gardening. David Wilson Homes is donating gardening equipment kits to local primary schools across the region to encourage children to explore the beauty and benefits of the great outdoors.
Katy Cushing, Sales Advisor at St John’s Walk, commented: “At David Wilson Homes, we strongly believe in taking care of nature and wildlife, and we’re very pleased to be able to donate these gardening kits to local schools to encourage the children to get outside and get gardening this spring. We hope the children enjoy the kits and it inspires the gardeners within them!”
Mrs Bromley, Reception and Year One teacher at Hoylandswaine Primary School, commented: “The children were thrilled with the lovely gardening equipment that Katy brought along, and I’m sure the kits will go a long way to helping them get green-fingered this year! We’re always keen to encourage the children to play outside and we’re very grateful David Wilson Homes has been so generous with this donation to help.”
St John’s Walk is a beautiful countryside development situated in the rural village of Hoylandswaine, Barnsley, offering four and five bedroom homes starting from £369,995.
