Secrets to achieving a ‘Real Healthy Family’
Family Matters will be brought to the forefront of NLP discussions this month as UKCP Registered Psychotherapist Karen Meager and Clinical Hypnotherapist John McLachlan, co-founders of Monkey Puzzle Training and co-authors of two books speak at the 2017 NLP International Conference.
NLP is often discussed in the context of business, but there are many ways in which it can positively influence our social lives, our relationships and our friendships. In a new seminar for 2017, Karen Meager and John McLachlan will discuss how to achieve ‘Real Healthy Families’ using the principles of NLP.
During their talk which will take place on Saturday 29th April at 9.30am, Karen and John will be adapting the work of Virgina Satir to learn why family dynamics are so strong and how to break the cycle of negative behaviours and patterns. They will also discuss the Neuroscience of emotional brain development to reveal why timing is critical in family and personal development. Delivering a light-hearted Virginia Satir version of ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ they will teach attendees how to make a healthy family whilst respecting and empowering others.
Karen and John explain why they felt it was important that this seminar topic appeared on the NLP International Conference agenda:
“We all belong in a family – even if we are ’the black sheep’! Families can be our biggest source of joy and our biggest source of pain. This session is not just for parents, we are all part of a family dynamic and can all do our bit to make families work better, in harmony and in a fulfilling way. This session is designed to help people not only identify areas that are positive and negative, but understand the reasons behind certain behaviours and take steps to make their family relationships happier and healthier.“
