West Yorkshire textiles firm secures £200k worth of new contracts with UAE hotels

A West Yorkshire textile firm has won a number of contracts worth over £200k to provide its products to an array of world renowned hotels.

Based in Elland, Texfelt has secured contracts to export its felt underlay products to Dubai and other destinations in the United Arab Emirates in preparation for the World Expo in 2020.

The company, which is part of JR Group UK, will supply Atlantis, The Palm, as well as Kempinski on the Palm, W Hotels in Ras Al Khaimah and Habtoor City in Dubai.

James Taylor, Texfelt managing director, said: “Our underlay is one of the most desired in the world. It is the choice for building specifiers and architects in many territories for projects ranging from large scale luxury to bespoke boutique developments.

“For us, it’s great that our quality British made underlay made right here in the heart of the textile country in Yorkshire is present in all these amazing buildings and projects around the world.”

He added: “Envirolay felt underlays are well respected in the Middle East and elsewhere thanks to the high quality manufacturing BS EN 14001 standards we employ at Texfelt.

“Along with the stringent BS 4790 fire testing our products passall manufacturing standards to ensure the product is the best quality.

“This have been further enhanced with the VOC testing (Volatile Organic Compounds) and Formaldehyde testing that the Envirolay passes to show zero content of any harmful substances.”
