Velocity Trampoline Park bounces into Liverpool
Velocity Trampoline Park has announced the news of its latest acquisition following a £2 million investment.
The leisure company has received the green light on a planning application for its third trampoline park, conveniently located just a stone’s throw away from New Mersey Shopping Park in Speke.
In collaboration with property giant Peel, the entertainment venue is set to open its doors in late 2017 and will offer a refreshing state-of-the-art concept.
Managing Director of Velocity Leisure Steven Cosgrove said: “We are thrilled to officially announce our plans for our latest acquisition after many meetings with property developers within the Speke area over a number of years. With the leisure industry constantly evolving and our successful venues already under our portfolio, we wanted to do something different and create a concept that was totally unique, bringing a breath of fresh air to Liverpool.
“By working closely alongside Peel, we have drawn up exciting plans to build a high-specification site featuring world-class equipment and a modern aesthetic. Our newest venue will create 50 full-time and part-time jobs, and will be home to popular features such as trampolines together with totally new additions. In order to appeal to everyone of all ages rather than solely children, we will introduce more grown-up activities such as a Ninja Warrior inspired obstacle-course and a tower jump area. We also wanted to put a strong focus on accessibility, so not only is our new park conveniently located, it will also house 150 car parking spaces over two-acres.“
Headed by husband and wife duo Steven and Cheryl Cosgrove, Velocity Leisure currently operates two Velocity Trampoline Park sites in Widnes and Wigan, alongside children’s soft play centres Fun Town in Garston and Space World in Prescot.
Steven added: “Inspired by our travels across the globe to various attractions and entertainment parks, we want to combine these interesting concepts with our existing experience to create something that is totally new and exciting. Having noticed a gap in the market for teenagers and young adults, we want to create a go-to fun hub of adventure that will provide a great alternative to a day or night out amongst friends and couples.
“In line with our previous ventures, the new site will combine fun with elements of fitness, making it ideal for avid gym bunnies and those looking for novel ways to workout. Watch this space Liverpool!“
Velocity Trampoline Park Speke is set to open at the end of 2017.
