Leading North East spa appoints new director
AN AWARD winning North East spa has appointed a new director to help drive the business to the next level.
The Spa at Ramside, at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa near Durham has recruited 37-year-old Joanne Green to run the multi-million pound health and leisure complex which opened in 2015.
Joanne, originally from Lincolnshire, has worked for the last 15 years at the Aqua Sana spa at Centre Parcs, starting as a receptionist and eventually being promoted to deputy manager.
“I am really excited about working at Ramside, I knew when I came to see it that it was something special,” said Joanne.
“It is an amazing spa which has already achieved so much and I’m really looking forward to being part of its future growth.”
Joanne, who originally trained in sports therapy before moving into the hospitality and leisure industry, is committed to ensuring that “the customer journey is a positive experience.”
“Coming from somewhere like Centre Parcs I understand all about having the right procedures in place and keeping customers happy,” she said.
“And now the years of experience I gained there is something that I can bring to the Spa at Ramside.”
John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which include Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, added that he was delighted to welcome Joanne to the team.
“We were very impressed with Joanne’s expertise and we are sure she will be a real asset to the Spa at Ramside,” he said.
