Lucketts gets thumbs up from group travel passengers
Lucketts Travel has been named as one of the best coach operators for group travel in the UK.
The Fareham-based firm is a finalist in this year’s Group Travel Awards in the ‘best coach operator’ category after being voted for by readers of Group Travel Organiser magazine.
Managing director Tony Lawman says the accolade is made even sweeter by the fact it was voted on by members of the public. “Ensuring customers have the very best experience is the most important element of what we do so we’re thrilled to be shortlisted for this award,” he said. “To know that the users of our service think we’re the best in the country is very rewarding.”
Group travel is a significant part of Lucketts Travel’s business and one that it is aiming to grow even further in coming years. The coach firm has a dedicated group travel department, which works with social groups, charities, businesses and organisations to create tailored travel and excursion packages. Its team can draw up bespoke itineraries for day trips and holidays, taking care of everything from hotel accommodation to guided tours.
Tony added: “We’ve clearly built the right foundations on which to grow our group travel offering based on this latest reader vote. I’m looking forward to giving customers even more to cheer about as it develops even further.”
Lucketts will find out if it has won at a glittering awards ceremony in London in June. If it does, it will mark the second year in a row that the company has picked up a Group Travel Award.
