Princes team to tackle Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

A team of volunteers from food and drink group Princes will undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Claire House, a children’s hospice close to its Liverpool head office on 4th May.

The 25 mile-long Challenge, which takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and includes 1,700m of ascent, will start and end in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and is intended to be completed within 12 hours.

Princes operates its largest UK soft drinks production site in Bradford. Wirral-based Claire House Children’s Hospice, which provides specialist nursing care and emotional support to seriously and terminally ill children and their families.

“This will be a tough and demanding experience for the team, but hopefully one that will be a lot of fun as well. We are very proud of our colleagues for volunteering to undertake this challenge to raise money for Claire House” said Ruth Simpson, Group Corporate Relations Director at Princes

Claire House’s staff includes nurses, physiotherapists, play specialists and counsellors. Four dedicated doctors also visit the hospice. It currently supports approximately 400 families at Clatterbridge Hospital, Bebington, Wirral.
