Salford-based CPC to offer ‘end-to-end procurement solution’ with Essex acquisition
Crescent Purchasing Ltd, the Salford-based education purchasing consortium, has acquired procurement services provider Tenet Education Services Ltd.
While the two firms will continue to operate independently following the deal, CPC said the agreement will give its members access to an “end-to-end procurement solution”.
CPC currently has a portfolio of around 60 frameworks covering various products and services.
Essex-based Tenet’s service contract consultancy offer ranges from one off tendering to onsite procurement services.
CPC chairman David Pullein commented: “We are delighted to secure the acquisition of Tenet to complement the services currently provided by CPC.
“This will enable Crescent to provide a complete service to the education sector and continue the excellent work of Tenet Education Services.”
David Thoms, the outgoing chairman of Tenet, said: “I and my fellow directors are excited by the sale of Tenet to CPC, as this will enable us to achieve our ultimate aim of being able to offer and provide the widest possible range of procurement solutions to both our existing clients and the education sector as a whole.”
Earlier this year, CPC struck a two-year sponsorship deal with illustrator Charlie Adlard – best known for his work on the Walking Dead series of comics – following his appointment last October as the UK’s new Comics Laureate.
