Pennine strengthens its position with change of ownership
Leading North East retailer, Pennine Home Improvements Ltd, has today announced a change in ownership on the back of increasingly successful trading results.
The Newcastle-based design and installation business, which has showrooms in Benton, Gosforth Park, Birtley and Ponteland, has been purchased by The Conservatory Outlet Group, with whom it has had an extremely close and successful customer-supplier relationship for the past three years.
Pennine specialises in the design and installation of high quality conservatories, orangeries, replacement conservatory roofs, windows and doors throughout the North East. The company has been owned by parent company Crownfold Ltd since 2008, and currently has around 150 staff across its four sites.
Mark Tinnion will succeed Graham Auld as Managing Director of the firm moving on from his previous position of Brand Director. Born and raised in Newcastle, Mark will continue with the company’s ethos of localised excellence, having played a central role in the company’s achievements over the past 5 years.
Mark says “I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Managing Director at Pennine, and whilst it’s very much business as usual for us, this represents a fantastic opportunity to accelerate both the growth and advancement of the business which we were already planning for; it is great news for the business and great news for our customers.”
