Insurance Contract Flourishes In The Garden Of Eden
Leeds based technology solutions provider, Eden’s specialist repair centre, is now responsible for maintaining iPads, smartphones and laptops for school pupils and businesses throughout the North of England, after signing an agreement with Summit Insurance Services Limited (SIS) to provide their market leading compucover insurance and warranty products.
compucover provides insurance and warranties for education providers, businesses and individuals, covering traditional education requirements such as iPads through to business critical smartphone and gadget technology against accidental damage, theft, fire and flood.
Eden, which sell iPads, mobile phones, laptops and IT equipment to schools, businesses and public sector organisations, is now an appointed representative of SIS which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority - meaning that all compucover insurance and warranties sold by Eden are fully underwritten.
Working in partnership, Eden and SIS have just provided three year accidental damage and theft insurance for 230 iPads complete with protective cases to South Craven School. This follows several other notable contract wins which has seen Eden sell £100,000 worth of IT equipment to an Academy Trust in Yorkshire and 650 smartphones for staff at North Lincolnshire Council.
Andy Payne, a Director at Eden, explains: “A growing number of high school pupils and businesses use iPads and other similar technology on a daily basis and it’s inevitable that accidental damage will occur. Our dedicated repair centre fixes hundreds of damaged screens and dropped iPads every month and we already work with schools and businesses throughout the region repairing their devices on an ongoing basis. Our partnership with compucover will enable us to be proactive with our customers helping them to reduce their instances of accidental damage and enable us to continue to offer a very competitive insurance rate. It’s fantastic news for everyone involved.”
Emma Mumby from compucover says: “Eden has a highly experienced team in place that works to a very high standard and always carries out repairs with a degree of urgency, to minimise the amount of time our customers are without their devices. This made them the ideal partner for us and we’re delighted to be working with them.”
Business technology specialists Andy Payne and Richard Kennedy launched Eden in 2011, after the pair previously worked for some of the UK’s largest IT and telecommunications companies. The company is based on Moorfield Business Park at Yeadon, close to Leeds Bradford Airport and supplies micro businesses through to large corporate organisations with all types of IT, telephony and mobile communications equipment, support and contracts.
