Major regeneration clients help build Social Communications (London)

Nationwide PR and public affairs consultancy Social Communications has been appointed to work on two major regeneration schemes in London - East Wick & Sweetwater (EW&S) and London & Continental Railways (LCR), further strengthening its regeneration and placemaking portfolio.

EW&S is a major multi-use scheme at the heart of the Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, and is one of the largest mixed-use regeneration schemes in London with over 1,500 homes and thousands of jobs being created. Social Communications is working closely with the London Legacy Development Corporation and the role includes leading all stakeholder relations, community consultation and media relations.

London & Continental Railways has tasked Social Communications with implementing a full communications strategy across two developments it plans to build in Stratford and Waterloo. One is close to Stratford International Station consisting of homes and commercial facilities.

The second, which is ready for occupation, is the Leake Street development under Waterloo station. The agency’s focus on this scheme will centre around a social media campaign to leverage the popularity of the famous Graffiti Tunnel next to the site.

The work will be led from Social Communications’ London office, which was set up in 2016. These are the latest in a string of new client wins since the agency, which is headquartered in Manchester, opened offices in the Capital as well as Leeds. New clients have included: Mace; the Town & Country Planning Association; Hexagon Housing; Northern Powergrid; Mid Sussex District Council (Burgess Hill), Cambridge City Council and William Pears Property as well as several Business Improvement Districts and Partnerships.

Social Communications works across the housing, energy, retail and leisure sectors. The agency provides PR, planning consultation and creative services to a range of clients including Lidl, National College for High Speed Rail, Places for People, United Living, Liberty Retirement Living, Extra MSA Group and Devonshires Solicitors.
