ITV Leaders’ Debate will be broadcast live this Thursday

dock10 at MediaCityUK to host ITV Leaders’ Debate

Broadcaster ITV has confirmed dock10 studios at MediaCityUK as the venue for its Leaders’ Debate ahead of the General Election in June.

Due to be broadcast live on ITV at 8pm this Thursday (May 18), the programme will be moderated by ITV News anchor Julie Etchingham as viewers get the opportunity to see the party leaders discuss the biggest election questions.

Invited to the show are the leaders of the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, SNP, UKIP, Greens and Plaid Cymru – all of which were represented at the 2015 ITV Leaders’ Debate.

ITV said the invitation will remain open to each of the party leaders until the debate goes on air, with the stage set with podiums for all seven.

As with previous ITV debates, leaders will be given the chance to make short opening and closing statements.

During the debate, the leaders will address questions put to them by the studio audience.

ITV has asked the audience for their questions and is inviting viewers to submit questions via election@itv.com.

The questions selected will not be shown to the leaders in advance, the broadcaster said.

Earlier this month, dock10 announced an expansion of the post-production offer at its boutique facility The Quay, where it has integrated the team from recently acquired post-production house 422.
