Yorkshire business woman launches new online clothing store
A Yorkshire and business woman is launching a new online store selling contemporary clothing for boys aged 0-11.
The brainchild of Pippa Wallis, www.heroboys.co.uk stocks a variety of designs from British brands run by working mums.
Dedicated to boys wear alone, Hero features a collection of garments such as t-shirts, hoodies, trousers, shorts, dribble bibs and hats.
All brands stocked on the site have been hand-picked by Pippa and are from UK-based companies run by working mums such as herself. Hero has also formed a partnership with British charity CALM - Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Designed to raise funds for the charity dedicated to raising awareness of depression amongst young men in the UK, shoppers are encouraged to return clothes they have finished with to the store for re-sale where all funds will go to the charity.
Pippa Wallis, Owner of Hero, said: “Launching a boys clothing store is something I have been thinking about for quite sometime.
“When my boy was born four years ago I noticed there was a distinct lack of online stores that specialised in boys clothing whereas there seemed to be hundreds dedicated to dressing girls.
“Similarly on the high street, I would go into many shops and find that there were rails and rails of gorgeous girls clothing but a much more limited collection for boys with designs that just weren’t what I was looking for.
“Over the years I have met many parents of boys who have had the same problem when searching for stylish clothing so I know that there is a real gap in the market for a store such as Hero.
“I have spent months researching the business and sourcing suitable suppliers and am thrilled with the collection we have created. Plans to add a range of boy’s accessories to the store are also underway.
“One of the key factors that I took into account was that, as a busy working mum myself I wanted to offer options and variety in one place. I know how difficult it can be to balance having children and working, plus running a home, shopping etc and I want to make it as quick and easy as possible so that mums don’t have to shop around but can find everything they need on one website.”
The new site is set to go live on Saturday, May 20th.
