Coach firm proves it’s good as gold
Coach firm Lucketts Travel has proven it’s got the golden touch when it comes to keeping its vehicles in top shape.
The firm has been presented with the National Express ‘golden spanner’ award after excelling in its annual engineering audit.
Lucketts, headquartered in Fareham, runs more than 100 services on behalf of National Express every day. As well as driving the coaches, it maintains them at its in-house engineering department, ensuring they are safe and as efficient as possible.
The company is audited by National Express every year and has now been awarded the highest accolade possible – the golden spanner award – two years in a row.
Managing Director for Lucketts Tony Lawman said: “We strive for excellence in all areas of the business and our in-house engineering department in particular is a great example of this.
“To be recognised by National Express for our high standards on the routes we operate for them is a clear reflection of the effort everyone puts in to maintaining and enhancing our standards. It’s results like these that inject fresh motivation into our talented and enthusiastic workforce.”
