Social Communications appoints new marketing account director
Nationwide PR & Public Affairs consultancy, Social Communications, continues its rapid expansion with the appointment of Account Director Tony Whittingham, who will lead on marketing services for its growing list of clients across the UK.
Whittingham joins the team at the head office of Social Communications, which is based in central Manchester. The agency now employs 23 members of staff with further offices in London and Leeds. The Manchester team recently moved from Sale into city centre offices on Lever Street, to accommodate for the business’s growth.
With over 15 years integrated agency experience, covering both brand and digital communications, Whittingham has helped companies, large and small, to create, refresh and position their brands in the marketplace via successful online and offline campaigns. His former experience includes managing high profile accounts for businesses including B2B International, Thomas Cook Sport, Adactus Housing, City South Manchester, Bentley, Fords of Winsford, and Keele Conferences.
Working with clients across construction, infrastructure, housing, property and professional services, Social Communications offers a range of communications services including PR, public affairs, planning consultation, sales marketing and creative design.
The agency was founded in Manchester in 2013 and has quickly grown a wide-ranging portfolio of clients including Places for People, Mace, The National College for High Speed Rail, United Living, One Manchester, Liberty Retirement Living, Extra MSA Group and Devonshires Solicitors.
