Microsoft and IBM among leading businesses headlining Newcastle Innovation Festival

World-leading businesses will descend upon Newcastle this July to take part in a week-long Innovation Festival, set to tackle major social and environmental challenges.

Put together by Northumbrian Water Group (NWG), the event will see major national and global companies working with other businesses, universities, schools and members of the public to look at a range of issues, including flooding, the environment and social inclusion.

Headline sponsors, leading the search for answers, include IBM, Microsoft, Reece Innovation, CGI, Ordnance Survey and BT.

As many as 400 people are expected to attend each of the five days, held atNewcastle Racecourse from July 10 to July 14.
