Two new lettings for Metro House
Metro House, the high-profile, four storey, office building at Gateshead’s Metro Centre has two new tenants, Queensberry Design, a Multi Discipline Design Consultant, and Video Games developers, Coconut Lizard
Metro House was recently refurbished to a high quality to provide office suites from 1,515 sq ft to 38,524 sq ft.
Rebecca Maddison, Knight Frank and joint agent with Lambert Smith Hampton, says the latest lettings shows the location is ‘very much on the radar of occupiers’ who see access to the A1M, the nearby Metro and the overall business, retail and leisure destination as very attractive.
“Being virtually column-free construction, raised floors and perimeter trunking allow for complete flexibility in layout, from fully open-plan to discrete cellular rooms and suites producing excellent work space,” says Ms Maddison. Coconut Lizard took 3,300 sq ft and Queensberry Design took 3,820 sq. ft.
Queensberry Design Managing Director Mark Paylor says: “Its essential for businesses to have space that reflects positively on their image and equally important is to provide staff with a very good working environment. At Metro House we have achieved both.”
Robert Troughton, Managing Director, Coconut Lizard adds: “The quality of the offices, the proximity to the wealth of leisure and retail that Metro Centre affords and the provision of ample parking spaces is a definite boon.”
The lettings were off a headline rent of £9.50 per sq ft.
