Liverpool startup workspace Avenue HQ partners with Barclays
Barclays has been announced as a new partner at Avenue HQ, the new 16,000 sq ft workspace launching on Liverpool’s waterfront.
To be known as Avenue HQ Liverpool supported by Eagle Labs, the centre will open at Mann Island in June with the aim of giving the city’s startup and scaleup communities a crucial boost.
The facility will offer co-working space for up to 200 individuals along with access to 3D printers and laser cutters to support rapid prototyping.
The Eagle Lab in Liverpool is the 11th opened by Barclays, following launches in cities including Salford, London and Cambridge.
The bank’s head of SME in Liverpool, Andrew Gornall, said: “We’re really pleased to be partnering with Avenue HQ and this launch will further our investment in the North West’s entrepreneurs.
“The city’s businesses are hungry for flexible workspace and we want to help local entrepreneurs to win the ‘champions league’ of growth and job creation.”
He continued: “Liverpool is famous for its culture, buildings and people, and has long been at the forefront of industry – providing a network to the rest of the world.”
Barclays’ said the Liverpool Eagle Lab will be supported by its business teams and high growth managers, who will be on hand to support to local firms and entrepreneurs.
