Tottenham Hotspur new stadium: New images show North Stand taking shape

Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur have released the latest images from the construction of their new stadium with photos showing development of their new North Stand coming along nicely as their new ground continues to take shape.

The stark new images highlight something of a metaphorical passing of the baton as the newly enlarged construction site melds the new with the old, with half of White Hart Lane already making way for the club’s new South Stand.

Elsewhere, the North and East stands, where construction initially began, now tower over the site and give fans a good impression of how the new 61,000 seater stadium will look once it is complete.

The North London club played their last game at White Hart Lane in May with work immediately beginning the following day to raze their historic stadium to the ground.

Spurs will play all their home games at Wembley next season ahead of the 2018/19 grand opening of their new stadium, which is still to receive an official name or sponsor, as the club looks to stake its claim in the upper echelons of the Premier League and in Europe.

Developments on the hospitality side of the new stadium development have kicked into gear recently with the Roux family confirming they would be providing their services as part of Spurs’ glitzy new corporate hospitality offering, while CBRE Hotel have also been appointed by the club to hunt for a hotel operator for the 23-storey site that will sit near the ground.
